Gathering in faith to share God's love
Welcome to our Parish of St Mary’s Honley with St George's Brockholes, set in the beautiful Holme Valley, south of Huddersfield.
We are an inclusive, friendly church and we gather week by week to worship God and share His love. Our two churches are also here for major life events such as weddings, baptisms and funerals, whether you’re a regular churchgoer or not.
The services are an important part of our ministry, but our churches are also places where people can gather to enjoy each other’s company.

So if you are simply visiting or looking for a place to call home, you can be sure of a warm welcome at any of our services. We look forward to meeting you.

Rev Anna Lumb, Vicar.

News from the Parish

Communion in the afternoon
Our afternoon Quiet Communion takes place monthly at 4pm, a peaceful and gentle service in the stillness and quiet of St Mary’s. It is followed by a Bible Study where we discuss our first experiences of the Bible and share our favourite passages. This service will take place on the first Sunday of the month.
Choirs, bands and lots of cake
Honley St Mary will be welcoming the Holme Valley Singers, Honley Male Voice Choir, Honley Silver Band and the Cafe Orchestra to make music during the Honley Street Market on Saturday, December 6. Our fabulous cake stall is groaning with cakes and teas and coffees are available in church.
Safeguarding
St Mary’s and St George’s takes safeguarding seriously: we are committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. Learn more about our policies on the Safeguarding page.

Giving: How to support our Parish with a donation

The Parish of Honley with Brockholes is a charity which receives no funding from the government and is dependent on donations and fees.
We exist to worship God and share the Good News of Jesus Christ, through prayer, praise and service to our community and the world.
We are part of the Church of England approved Parish Giving Scheme and we welcome donations to the work of our Parish regularly or as a one-off.
